Profile: Scotty relocated to Alaska in 2017 from Los Angeles, CA where he had spent the past 5 years on clinical faculty at the University of Southern California, working primarily in the ICU and critical care setting. His post-professional doctorate work emphasized promoting OT’s distinct value within a hospital setting by optimizing documentation within the electronic health record system. He currently works at Providence Alaska Medical Center and is the chair of the hospital-wide Clinical Informatics Council. He provides patient care while supporting students and fellow colleagues with his 9 years of experience working in acute care. Scotty has presented workshops, short courses, and posters at the annual AOTA National Conferences and hopes to continue to learn, share, and grow while representing the Alaska OT community. In his spare time Scotty enjoys swimming, skiing, biking, hiking, and watching movies.

Jennifer (Jenny) Armentrout, OTR/L

Profile:  Jenny Armentrout has been an OT for 15 years, all of which has her practicing in the area of pediatrics in Anchorage. Currently, she is employed at Alaska Pediatric Therapy, LLC and in the NICU at Providence Alaska Medical Center. Jenny has always been a member of both AKOTA and AOTA and feel these two organizations are critical to the continued progress of our profession. It is her goal that, over the next several years, AKOTA can find a greater sense of community and collaboration, and an increasing membership and networking as well as staying up to date with current national issues that impact our profession and continued the provision of quality continuing education opportunities. Jenny enjoys leadership roles as well as nonprofit work and have experience as the clinical supervisor for Providence Pediatric/NICU Therapies (2005-2011) and as a board member for Lost Lake Run (2006-present).  Jenny feels in our current climate of challenging and seemingly changing issues in healthcare, it will be important for OTs to understand, share information, and support each other as well as the clients they serve. 

Destiny Lee, MOTR/L, C/NDT

Profile:  Destiny has been an OT for almost 12 years, with brief experience in an outpatient pediatrics clinic in Anchorage. She has been with Providence Alaska Medical Center for 11 years working primarily in the acute care setting and covering inpatient rehab as needed. Destiny began teaching as an adjunct faculty member for Creighton University in 2015, and currently teaches labs for 2 courses. In her spare time, Destiny enjoys running, hiking, and watching her boys, 6 and 8, grow and develop in baseball and hockey.

Profile:  Cary has been an OT for 20 years. Cary currently  is the academic Program Director for the UAA/Creighton University OTD Program and the OT faculty member for the Alaska LEND program. Prior to this position, she worked as an adjunct faculty member with UAA/CU program for 5 years.  She also worked at FOCUS Inc. in Eagle River as an OT in Early Intervention and most recently as the Clinical Director of the FOCUS outpatient clinic. Cary is currently working on her PhD in OT through Texas Women's University. Cary Looks forward to supporting the Alaska OT community with service on the Board of AKOTA.
